Today I want to discuss a UK-listed company called Telecom Plus (TEP), who are basically a utilities company that offer discounted prices on a range of services such as home and mobile phone, internet, gas and electricity.
The FTSE 100 has hit new highs in May but the future direction is still unclear because it has started to trade in a very narrow range. This trading range is roughly between 4300 and 4500, give or take a few points, so there should be a good trading opportunity when the price breaks out of this range.
The S&P 500 has gone from around 670 right the way up to 930 in the last couple of months but after the recent trendline was broken it now looks like we could be heading lower in the coming weeks and months.
Vodafone (VOD) shares have caught my attention today because they have fallen back to 115p which means the price is now very close to the bottom of the recent trading range. Furthermore on both a technical and fundamental basis they do represent a good buying opportunity in my view.
As a regular subscriber to Marketclub, I keep on eye on their trading signals on a daily basis because they are extremely reliable on the whole. Anyway a share that caught my eye yesterday was Edison International (EIX) because we have just had a sell signal on the weekly chart at $27.67.
